These highly trained Personal Protection Dogs make little Tug feel right at home with ease and safety. You can have a safe and loving Protection Dog with the correct genetics and proper training. They allowed Tug to fit into their pack and not worry about being attacked by larger dogs. This techniques teaches Tug to remain confident and allows him to accept outside dogs without aggression. Tug was in-house for our 30 day program. We miss him now that the"Little Man" has returned to his loving owners and family.

Personal Protection Classes
There are three levels of personal protection. You learn along with your dog at each level. We develop the prey drive of the dog and move into the defensive drive. Many trainers start with defense causing the dog to view new people entering their space to be considered "bad guys." My method teaches the dog to maintain the stability they should have as protection dogs. Below you will view my dogs as well as others performing protection and remaining loving dogs to all who enter their space.

Onyx is in house for 5 months learning to be a Patrol Dog. She is learning advanced obedience, agility, pack socialization, personal protection and more. Down the road, we will perform her explosive training and she can follow in her mothers (FALON) paw prints.

ON-LEASH OBEDIENCE TRAINING
You will learn the techniques developed by Master Trainer Bob Conklin. As your dogs learns to obey your commands,the dog will also learn you are in charge. You do not have to pin your dog or force the dog into submission to be the dominant factor in his or her life. Through my training methods,the dog learns to willingly give you their hearts and actually want to please their handlers. I will teach two adults along with the dog so you are present and participate in all phases of training. We use less pressure when training your dog and more energy and motivation to convince your dog to perform for you. See an immediate change in your dog. OFF-LEASH OBEDIENCE TRAINING
Here is Bob with Vom Haus HVK-Nines BARRON. You will learn the techniques of advanced on-leash training to prepare you for off-leash training. This allows you to control your dog without the aide of a leash. This is why I train the dogs mind allowing the body to follow. You and your energy will be the only tool you will have to convince your dog to work for you. Using my highly developed training methods early on, your dog wants to follow you and obey your commands. We consider a leash and collar as a "tool" and not a "crutch." Old harsh methods use the leash and collar as a crutch. We us energy and technique for all phases of training.

Learn to have total control over your dog. This picture was taken at the Middletown Humane Society while i was conducting a Trainers Certification Course. While my dogs remained in that position, there were other dogs, people and heavy traffic constantly moving in and out. Protection dogs can and should be safe all the time.
AGILITY
I do not use agility as a timed event. I use it to build the dogs confidence. Agility also allows the dog to be in tune with the handler and build confidence without the use of aggression. Control and willingness is the winning combination that you will develop in your dog through agility. Your dog will learn to trust you and your decisions. Agility is a winning combination for dog and handler.

TRAINERS CERTIFICATION COURSE.
This is full or part time course designed to train you to become a Dog Trainer. This is an exciting field for those who love to work and train dogs. You will learn the newly developed training method offered by Hudson Valley K9 Academies Bob Conklin. I have students from Long Island, South Carolina, New Jersey and the Hudson Valley Area taking this course for a variety of reasons. You will spend 30 hours training Skatie and the will work a variety of dogs with different personalities at local humane societies. This is an extensive hands on course.
PERSONAL PROTECTION TRAINERS COURSE AVAILABLE for those who want to learn the correct techniques in making a trusting personal protection dog. This type of training allows your dog to maintain the safe, happy dog you know and want around everyone that your dog comes into contact with. You will learn the correct techniques as a helper. You will learn to read the dogs reaction to pressure and build a safe, lasting drive in the dog.
